Pack surprises during travel periods – This will ensure that they will not be bored with the long ride. Bring along toys, activity books and musical cd’s. Sing along some of your favorite songs together to help diminish the stress usually caused by long periods of travel.Start and end your day early – Children are usually at their best in the mornings; so travel, explore and sightsee during that period. Reserve the afternoon for family bonding, and the evening for relaxing.  Children are more likely to throw tantrums if their activity cycle is disturbed.
